For example, I find it very useful when I am able to watch pre-recorded lectures on my own time, but also join the actual lecture in case I want to ask questions and receive instant feedback. Howdy Kynan, I think you have a strong overview of UDL and inclusion. I especially like your emphasis on proactive barrier reduction and choice in representation and expression. To expand on that, I would suggest adding some example variables that you would design for that are measurable to some degree, so that you know if you are on the write track. For example, think about what it means to have representation and expression and I think you do this, but taking it a step further with a practical in-class example of how that looks would really reinforce the points you are trying to make.
You do a great job of defining and giving examples of what synchronous and asynchronous learning looks like. Your personal example bolsters this claim and makes it applicable to you which is great. I would think about taking it a step further by adding a way to blend the two. A good question to think about is (in the context of the field you are trying to pursue. How can synchronous learning and asynchronous learning be built into a learning environment cohesively in order to create better outcomes for your field? This isn’t a perfect question, but I think it gets at the jist of taking something that you do a great job of explaining in an educational/university lens and then extending it through trying to apply it to your field.
